People tend to judge a book by its cover and a vehicle by its exterior. But in reality, it’s what’s inside that really matters to those spending time there. Ford has taken inspiration from outside the realm of the automotive world – from fashion, furniture, jewelry, even nature – and moved those elements within. Both Capital Ford Lincoln and Ford also take what you the customer have to say to heart. Ford uses what you say in order to design a vehicle with safety, technology, the environment and quality in mind. Capital Ford uses what you say to improve our service, develop new databases of information for your vehicle research and ensure customer satisfaction.
Let’s face it not all of us want to know what is under the hood! You get in a car and immediately you start forming opinions, sometimes those opinions form before you even have a seat. Ford has taken the step to understand that one of major factors affecting your perception of a vehicle is what is underneath you – the seat. Comfort will determine over time whether or not you truly fall in love with your vehicle. Ford has made seat comfort a science, studying and measuring what people want and need. Ford goes above and beyond to test their seating and compare it to the competition to make sure shape and firmness among others is right on top! They recognize your investment is one for the long haul and want to make you feel your best!
Can you hear that?! Sometimes, no sound is the best sound. Ford has listened and knows customers want an interior that is quiet and their engineers stress the importance! Engineers make sure to conduct extensive testing to eliminate everything but the purr of an engine. “We know what quality sounds like because customers have told us,” said Mark Vojtisek, manager of Vehicle Integration. “They’ve identified the difference between a ‘plasticky’ sound versus one that is solid and secure. We know the metrics of each, and we design to create those sounds customer prefer.”
But don’t just take our word for it. Listen to what others have said about Ford cars and trucks:
“Ford has proven its resilience in these tough times by delivering to market a car with broad appeal to a broad range of consumers,” said Angus MacKenzie, MOTOR TREND editor-in-chief. “The Fusion range has matured into a competitive roster of midsize sedans, able to compete with the sales juggernauts such as the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. It is no surprise the Fusion now ranks in the top ten best selling cars in America.”
“Consumers demand the latest on-the-go innovation in their cars. Ford automobiles are built with cutting-edge technology that makes driving safer and more enjoyable,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association.
“The key to world-class interior quietness is to pinpoint the source and location of every unwanted sound, no matter how subtle it is,” said Bill Gulker, Ford’s leader of Wind Noise Engineering. “Noise Vision already is paying off for Ford, with the new 2010 Taurus, Fusion, Flex and F-150 achieving the quietest interiors in their class.”
And according to the latest rankings from Consumer Reports, 70 percent of Ford’s vehicles were ranked as recommended buys, compared to 40 percent four years ago – beating both GM and Chrysler.
So next time you step into a Ford check out the inviting interior. Ford strives for great balance with beauty and functionality to enhance your experience. Come on down to Capital Ford Lincoln for a closer look….I mean feel.
