Ryan Brecht, Top Performer for the Month of June at Capital Ford Lincoln.

Always a very hard worker here at Capital Ford Lincoln, Ryan’s long hour days and even coming in a few times on his day off, has finally earned him the title of Top Performer of the Month and he says “it feels pretty good.” Continue reading to learn more about Ryan!

Ryan has this air about him, one that always makes people feel so comfortable to talk to him, ask him questions about what they are looking for. He is forever easy going, easy to deal with and he doesn’t expect or assume anything about his customers. One of Ryan’s main goals is to make his clients feel relaxed by being easy to get along with, sharing a joke and being a very good active listener.

Paying close attention to a customers needs is very important to Ryan and he makes every need and concern they have about a vehicle as important to him as it is to them. If a customer is concerned about how many airbags a vehicle has, Ryan will treat the concern as if it were his own and make sure a vehicle has what the customer is looking for.

Ryan also goes above and beyond when it comes to showing new buyers how the features and options on their new vehicle work. He takes pride in being very thorough about this and his customers always appreciate it.

The most memorable moment from June for Ryan was being able to help a customer who was going through a lot of personal finance problems get into a 2008 Ford Edge Limited, that was not only much better than the vehicle he owned, but much safer as well.

Ryan is a hard worker, and will always continue to work hard because his clients are important to him.

Ryan Brecht’s Personal Thank You to his Customers!

“I would like to thank each and every customer for helping me to build and develop my client base. I appreciate the good feedback and being given the opportunity to do my job effectively, which in return creates an exciting buying experience.”

If you are asking yourself “Why should I buy a Ford Fusion?” you aren’t phrasing the question properly. The question should be “Why wouldn’t I want to buy a Ford Fusion?”, and if you want to go a little further, you might to ask “Why wouldn’t I want to buy a Ford Fusion from Capital Ford Lincoln?”

Read on to find out all the reasons why you should buy Ford Fusion and more!

The car was named the 2010 car of the year by “Motor Trend” magazine. It cited the fact the Fusion is an economical, midsize sedan that won’t put a major dent in your pocketbook and that its one of the safest vehicles to be in. Besides standard four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, dual-stage airbags, and a variety of other active and passive safety measures, you can order a rearview camera system, as well as a Blind Spot Information System that warns you when another vehicle is hiding in your blind spot.

The original Ford Fusion came to market for the 2006 model year. The basics were there, but the car wasn’t fully baked. For 2010, Ford’s product teams gave the lineup a complete redevelopment so thorough, you would think the first-generation car never existed. Only the passenger-shell sheet metal and other basic architectural elements escaped being redesigned, upgraded, or replaced. Although a four-door sedan is the only body style offered, power-train choices expand from two to four, and each is new or substantially revised. There are several trim levels offered as well: base S, upmarket SE, luxurious SEL, a separate Sport model, and a Hybrid.

Everyone knows value is high on the list of potential buyers. Perhaps then, it’s here that the Fusion delivers its greatest pop. Starting at $19,695, the 2010 Fusion comes with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. EPA estimates for fuel economy with that engine mated to the six-speed automatic lead the family sedan class with 22 city/34 highway.

That $19,695 price will get you a Fusion S model with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder, power windows, locks and mirrors, air conditioning, 60/40 split rear seats, stylish 16-inch aluminum wheels. Moving up to a preferable $21,225 SE trim will allow you tons more options (including Sync) along with standard Sirius satellite radio, nicer trim and awesome looking snowflake-style 17-inch alloys.

The $24,655 SEL four-cylinder Fusion makes the optional and preferable six-speed automatic standard all the while giving you dual-zone automatic climate control, steering wheel mounted audio controls, auto headlamps, an auto-dim rear view mirror, standard Sync connectivity, eight-way power front seats and leather upholstery. That’s a great deal for a stylish, reliable and fully loaded family sedan.

What’s not to like. Passenger room is ample with plenty of room for legs in the back seat even with a six-footer sitting behind another six-footer. The trunk is another strong point with the Fusion as 16.5 cubic feet ranks it as one of the largest in its class and the drive is as quiet as can be.

In closing, if you are looking for the practicality of a well-appointed, well-engineered and crisp-handling family-sized four-door that also offers a choice of fuel-efficient four-or six-cylinder engines and available all-wheel drive, the 2010 Ford Fusion merits serious consideration for a spot in your garage.

How far would you go?

I mean, how far would you go to buy something? Take a minute and just think of what may have been your furthest purchase that you have ever made. I am pretty sure for me, it was a belt buckle I bought off of Ebay… bought online from Los Angeles, California.

To some, that’s not terribly far. For others, it is a lifetime away. Now consider this, what has been your furthest online purchase for more than $5000? I don’t think many of us have done that in our lives if I were to guess.

Read on to find out more!

I mention this fun fact because I would like you to say hello to Julie & Everett. Julie and her husband, Everett are from Vernon, British Columbia. They now have a story to tell all of their friends and family that should be considered impressive.

Recently at Capital Ford Lincoln, Julie inquired online about a 2004 F350 Lariat to haul her horse trailer and fun summer equipment around in. She spoke to me on the phone for the first time on a Thursday, April 15th… we negotiated on that Friday, and she and Everett flew to Regina on Saturday morning.

I picked them up at the Regina airport in the early afternoon, brought them back to the dealership and by 4PM they had purchased an F350. My position as Internet Specialist at Capital Ford Lincoln allows me to interact with a lot of people, from a lot of places. But, I have never sold anything to a client that lives 2 provinces and 1320 kilometres away!

I appreciate the distance required to travel as far as they did, and I hope that the service they received was better than expected. We pride ourselves at Capital Ford Lincoln in “Shining Brighter”. The fact they travelled that far hopefully indicates we did.

We certainly appreciate the business from as far away as BC, and it just goes to show that no matter how far away we may be… this story shows we’re never too far!!

Establishing excellent customer service is this team’s primary goal, but there are other goals they hope to accomplish as well. John wants his team members to focus on what they not as just a job, but a career. A career in which over time they will become an integral part of the Capital Ford dealership.

Read further to learn more about the team.

The focus is to be on service, not just on selling and sales. Giving a customer the best experience before, during and especially after the sale; basically making the customer happy and comfortable in recommending their friends, family, neighbors and even co-workers to the dealership.

The new team reflects the diversity of society and the clientele here at Capital Ford, and John built his team to meet this range of peoples needs. Brett is there to help customers who have more technical questions about the products and Jonas is easy to get along and can make the experience fun and enjoyable for the customer. Jonas also fits in with the younger crowd and can make it more comfortable for those who may be intimidated by a veteran salesperson. Where as Shayna is the female of the group and has a whole other set of skills that pertain not only to women, but also to people who thrive on professionalism.

John feels great about the new team, and the team feels great about getting out there too. John is excited for them and thinks that they will do well. The team members are fresh to the biz of selling cars. However, John thinks that after they get some experience under their belts they’ll be giving the customers great, positive Capital Ford experiences that will keep them coming back.

Welcome to the family, team! We’re glad to have you!

First if all I want to and just have to say go to www.followthefiesta.ca and check it out! Watch the videos of the teams, look at all the pictures and most of all enter to win one before May 15th!

Okay. Now that I got that out I can now explain how much I personally want a 2011 Ford Fiesta! I want a purple one especially, I mean Bright Magenta Metallic. The colors are so great, and so different from typical vehicle colors. They’re fun, hip and exciting, literally. It’s had to explain how a color is exciting, but these are.

I’ve never seen a Fiesta up close and personal yet, (keyword being ‘yet’), but I’m really liking what I’m seeing in pictures and what I’m reading online and hearing from others. I so badly want to test drive one!

The design of the Fiesta is so sleek, sporty and fun and it comes with lots of great features! Small cars are the best, and I love them for just that reason – they’re small! However, the interior of the Fiesta is supposed to be quite roomy and I can’t wait to find out how roomy it is!

Some of the features that I found the most intriguing to me out of the many that the Fiesta has are:

The dual clutch technology in the Fiesta isn’t new to the car world, but it is the first time the technology has ever been available in a car this size. Now, I’ve never personally driven a standard, but this dual clutch is supposed to be better. It combines two clutches that do the work for you to make the vehicle an automatic, but it is also better for the efficiency of the car and uses less fuel!

Another thing I can’t wiat to see is the key sensing system that is totally hands-free! The way it works is that by touching the door handle, the car senses the keys in your pocket, purse, or wherever and unlocks the doors for you! Is that sweet or what?

Now, I have to say that the dashboard in the Fiesta looks pretty darn awesome. It’s supposed to be cell-phone inspired and I totally see it. I really like the Sync technology that is available, especially with the cell-phone ban. It also has an audio input which is great for an iPod-using junkie like me. I never go anywhere without it, but I can’t plug it in to most vehicles and that bums me. But with the Fiesta, you totally can and have you’re iPod library at your finger tips just like that.

I’m absolutely pumped for the 2011 Ford Fiesta realease in Canada and will totally go out to test drive one when they arrive. I’m in love with this little car, how about you? If not, well then I think you should be!

Blayne Morrow, Top Performer in March at Capital Ford Lincoln

Blayne believes hard work is rewarded; whether that reward is customer satisfaction or being the top performer for that month.

One of his most memorable sales moments from the month of March involved a customer from out of province. The customer took interest in purchasing a vehicle form the Capital Ford Lincoln team even though he was from Manitoba. The customer ended up ordering a 2010 Lincoln MKX for his girlfriend over the phone because of how well he was treated by himself and the Internet team here at Capital Ford Lincoln.

This sort of sales interaction just goes to show how a personal presence isn’t always needed to build trust and rapport with a customer. Blayne, like the whole team at Capital Ford, says bringing honesty to the table is crucial.

“The number one thing for being in this business is going beyond some customers low expectations. Wowing customers and going over and above to provide honesty and service and being straight forward. Customers will appreciate that.”

Blayne Morrow’s Personal Thank You Message to his Customers!

“The number one thing I would like to thank my customers for is the specific customers that make my every day job feel like a career. They provide a circle of people, not just them, which I can serve.”

The new Ford Fiesta is next in line to be crowned King of the Road in the small car class. The Fiesta set to be released by summer of 2010 and will set the standard in economy, safety, and new power train technology. Its sleek design will attract a crowd of both young and old looking for both fun and practicality. Its technology however, will attract everyone else!

The Fiesta is set to be a leader in fuel economy with a best-in-class 50 (canadian) MPG with a quick response 1.6L engine. It will also be equipped with a DOHC I-4, 6 speed transmission with electric power assist.

Fiesta will also be available in 4 & 5 door body styles. This little car is set to be a game changer for Ford. Its impact has already been felt around the world with the release and sale of 500,000 units in Europe & Asia. The idea behind the Fiesta was to put into play a car that was compact, but that offered world class quality.

“Fuel economy leaders have traditionally been manual shift models,” said Pierro Aversa, team leader for transmissions. “Fiesta changes the game by offering an advanced PowerShift six-speed automatic that delivers maximum fuel economy”

With dual clutches, the engine will always maximize its responsiveness and fuel efficiency. This responsiveness will be determined by the input received by the accelerator pedal. As well, a nice new twist given to the Fiesta is technology taken from its cousin, the Escape. Equipped with EPAS (Electronic Power Assist Steering), this will allow for easier turning and parallel parking manoeuvres. This technology will be equipped in 90% of Ford’s line up by 2013.

With safety being on most people’s mind when buying a car, it is especially important in a compact. The Fiesta will be equipped with dual stage first row airbags, and class exclusive driver’s knee airbag. It will also be equipped with side air bags and side curtain air bags.

The frame of the Fiesta has been build with approximately 50% boron steel in all critical areas, making it best-in-class for occupant safety. This “little “car has been tested and retested for the pounding it will take on our North American roads, and by all accounts is more than ready.

The new Ford Fiesta is coming to Capital Ford soon… in fact ordering just opened for our stock today!

We just hope they bring some of the features that we’ve seen in some of the Ford’s over there like the Ka. Yeah, that’s really its name, Ka. Check out the video below to see what we mean!

I’ve been posting some articles about the Ford Taurus and the exceptional features that make it such an innovative sedan. Head to head, the competitors have been luxury vehicles averaging close to $25,000 more the the Ford Taurus and the results are shocking. Customers who’ve driven the Ford Taurus at Capital Ford, your Regina Ford Dealership, have been incredibly impressed with the ride and handling. This full size sedan commands the road and does so with a quiet confidence. Taurus is designed with features that help make your ride a quiet one. So quiet that there is a single audio speaker in Taurus SHO whose sole job is to pull in the muscular music the engine revs provide. Highlights include:

Acoustic laminated glass combined with a soft instrument panel and expandable foam baffles in the pillars to help absorb noise and make the interior quiet

Three door seal levels for wind and traffic noise isolation • Acoustic headliner absorb to absorb sound

Reinforced decklid for increased stiffness and reduced squeak, rattle and road noise

New front inlet air induction system to improve linear sound quality

These features are attributed to a very quiet ride resulting in added comfort and as crazy as it sounds (no pun intended) when a car is this quiet, it feels better. So, how do you bring an interior quietness test to the plate after tests with gravel trucks spewing out rocks or head to head quarter mile racing? You bring in a jet engine and let’er buck!

In the wake of a two day snowstorm onslaught in the final week of January, folks in Regina we’re left with snowdrifts half way up front doors and driveways housing marooned cars and trucks. Folks with 4×4 and snow tires we’re counting their luck stars as they became the only movable autos for a day. In the spirit of Funny Friday, I thought it would be great to show that even thow it was inconvenient to be caught in this two day affair that things could always be worse.

Do you have any stories about the snowstorm? Neighbors coming together to help get a vehicle unstuck or to help shovel a driveway? Anything funny happen during or after the storm? Let us know in the comments!

These photos we’re borrowed from a wonderful website called “That Will Buff Out“. If you ever need a laugh I highly recommend checking out their vehicle photos that take an eternal optimist to utter “Well… that will buff out.”

Have a fantastic weekend!
