Guess what today is?! It’s National Siblings Day!
Today is a day that you appreciate all those brothers and sisters that you have. Whether its one, two, ten or twenty-one, this is a day where you celebrate your partner’s in crime through all those family vacations and childhood events.
A bond with a brother and/or sister is something that is unexplainable. There’s nothing else like it. Although you may have had your ups and downs, siblings make the best friends and more importantly, family. The best part is you can yell, pinch, hit, and pull each other’s hair one minute and be hugging and hanging out the next. Did I mention they also make the best roommates? You don’t need to feel bad about nagging one another to do the dishes or vacuum the floor. If they still are being lazy and not pulling their weight around the house then you can be straight up and blunt by saying “Get your Lazy you know what off the couch and help me!” They won’t even be offended, I promise! Siblings are always there for you too.. so you can blame them for breaking the lamp on the coffee table. Even though you were doing back flips off the couch and hit it with your foot, it’s still your siblings fault.
Brother’s and sisters can also make the best partner’s in crime. Now I myself am in a family of three children. My brother Adam and I are only a year apart so we teamed up and pulled all sorts of pranks on my little brother Jared, who is 4 years younger than me. Many years ago we tied up his legs and arms, put a gag in his mouth and put our mother’s old 1980′s bikini on him and locked him in the pitch black basement all by himself! I still laugh about it it to this day, and he probably forgave us about 5 minutes after it happened. Now that’s what I call sibling love!
Happy Siblings Day! If you see or talk to your siblings today, honour, recognize and celebrate one another!
