How far would you go?

I mean, how far would you go to buy something?  Take a minute and just think of what may have been your furthest purchase that you have ever made.  I am pretty sure for me, it was a belt buckle I bought off of Ebay… bought online from Los Angeles, California.

To some, that’s not terribly far.  For others, it is a lifetime away.  Now consider this, what has been your furthest online purchase for more than $5000?  I don’t think many of us have done that in our lives if I were to guess.

I mention this fun fact because I would like you to say hello to Julie & Everett.  Julie and her husband, Everett are from Vernon, British Columbia.  They now have a story to tell all of their friends and family that should be considered impressive.

Recently at Capital Ford Lincoln, Julie inquired online about a 2004 F350 Lariat to haul her horse trailer and fun summer equipment around in.  She spoke to me on the phone for the first time on a Thursday, April 15th… we negotiated on that Friday, and she and Everett flew to Regina on Saturday morning.

I picked them up at the Regina airport in the early afternoon, brought them back to the dealership and by 4PM they had purchased an F350.  My position as Internet Specialist at Capital Ford Lincoln allows me to interact with a lot of people, from a lot of places.  But, I have never sold anything to a client that lives 2 provinces and 1320 kilometres away!

I appreciate the distance required to travel as far as they did, and I hope that the service they received was better than expected.  We pride ourselves at Capital Ford Lincoln in “Shining Brighter”.  The fact they travelled that far hopefully indicates we did.

We certainly appreciate the business from as far away as BC, and it just goes to show that no matter how far away we may be… this story shows we’re never too far!!
