Capital Ford Lincoln was proud to give and show their support for the 2010 First Nations University of Canada Pow-wow. With the help of our contribution the Committee was able to raise over twenty five hundred dollars.
The Pow-wow that the FNUniv puts on is always the first one of the year and is considered one of the biggest Pow-wows in Saskatchewan. It attracts more than 7000 visitors from across Canada and the United States.
The spring celebration unites families and communities and demonstrates First Nations traditions through a variety of song and dance. It is also a celebration that announces new life and gives thanks for sharing in the rebirth of the land.
It was a great honor to be able to support such a great community event, especially one that has such a positive effect on the First Nations peoples of Saskatchewan.
